Data Sources Advanced Tab

Option Description

Base Location

This option serves several purposes.  First, if you specify a relative path for linked objects, they will be resolved to the path specified by the base location.

The second purpose is only meaningful for Microsoft Access databases.  If you specify a relative path for the database location it will be resolved to the path specified by the base location.

For both purposes, if a base location is not specified, paths will be resolved to the directory in which the data sources file resides.

Workgroup File

This option is only meaningful for Microsoft Access databases.  It specifies the location of the Workgroup file to use for all of the databases.  If not specified, the file name Is assumed to be system.mdw. For relative file names, Gatsby will look first in the base location for the file. If not found there, Gatsby will then look in the Windows System Directory.

Notes

These options are stored with the data sources file and affect all mounted databases.
