You must first mount the database before you can use it with Gatsby Database Explorer. Mounting a database is simply the process of telling Gatsby how to connect to your database.
Information about your mounted databases is stored in a Gatsby data sources file. At installation time a default data sources file is created in your Gatsby Database Explorer program directory. Data sources files have the extension .gds.
To mount the database for use with Gatsby Database Explorer, open up the Gatsby Design Assistant. When the Design Assistant is first opened, it will automatically open the default data sources file. Click the "Mount..." button. The Design Assistant will display a list of the type of databases available based upon which editions of Gatsby Database Explorer have been installed. Select the type of database that you would like to mount.
Next enter the appropriate setting for connecting to your database and click OK. Then save your data sources file. Your database should now be mounted.
The next step is to configure how the database will appear to users in Gatsby Database Explorer.
